Mmm, Candy Stick

I’m gonna preface this review with some really sad, upsetting fucking news. Yesterday night before I started writing my review I went to go get the Candy Stick so it could be near me while I wrote. It was gone. It’s still gone. I have torn both my rooms apart looking for it. Chances are very high that it was stolen from me by a family member and if that’s the case I’ll probably never see it again. I hope this isn’t the case and that it turns up somewhere (which is unlikely because I don’t misplace my toys like that). But I hope it does. For now, it’s MIA which makes me angry, upset and just really fucking sad.

So anyway. The Candy Stick. I won this courtesy of Epiphora during her Blogiversary Blowout and was so, so excited to win it. As I posted, I got it on Halloween day (shipping was delightfully fast, it got here in like two days) and after all the festivities and whatnot started to wind down I took out my toy so I could tinker around with it. First of all: GREEN!

Look at that thing. Other than being intimidatingly big (10″ long, about 6 1/2 insertable and 1 1/2 in diameter), it is a beautiful swirling toy made of 100% silicone. I loved the way it looked from the first time I saw it because my absolute favorite color is bright fucking green. I want more green toys in my collection. But on to other matters, like function and how it feels.

This is my first vibrating insertable toy so I don’t really have any other (shittier) products to compare it to. The battery compartment opens simply by twisting it open and just taking out the removable chamber (two AAs, not included).  The buttons are fun and simple; molded on the mildly textured handle, click the left to turn it on, left again to change pulsations, click the right button to turn it off. There isn’t a wide range of vibration settings, three in all, but you can increase and decrease the vibration intensity, which is really cool and fun to play with. I prefer it at high vibration. It doesn’t get loud at all, regardless of what setting or vibration intensity you have it at. So finally later that night it came time to use it. My cunt and I were more than a little nervous. So yeah, quite the jump in size and as I’ve said before I’m not in any way a size queen. I have to work my way up to this toy: start with either the Bent Graduate or Ella (Graduate’s my go-to but either works fine) and get off until I’m warmed up and sufficiently wet. The first time I slowly worked this huge thing inside, my vagina yelled “NO!” It didn’t hurt; it was just a very big invasion and it felt that way each of the three times I used it. But my cunt gets used to it rather quickly.

I really, really love the way this toy feels. It definitely cemented my love of silicone because unlike the Ella, which I still experience slippage with due to my very hungry, very wet cunt, I have no problem thrusting hard and fast with this toy because of 1.) the length and 2.) the textured handle. For a toy so visually present and massive, it’s very subtle in lots of ways. The swirls on the shaft aren’t too pronounced but I could definitely feel that it wasn’t a smooth surface. And I love the vibration; it’s not too intense but still feels good. One of my favorite things to do with this toy is to insert it as far as my cunt will allow and just feel the vibrations throughout my entire pelvic region. It’s a deep kind of sensation and I love it. The first time I used it I found it to be kind of a bust for clitoral stimulation but with the next two uses proved that initial assumption wrong. I don’t need very strong vibration to my clit (in fact, I have never gotten off clitorally with vibration; I always resort back to my hand for that) and this toy provides nice sensation. But most of the sensation for this toy is in its girth. It will fill you up and it’s very delicious.

Being silicone, this toy is just as easy to clean as my other toys. Run some warm water, antibacterial soap and bam, it’s clean. It has an O-ring to ensure water-resistance. And also, I didn’t get the chance to actually do this, but according to Epiphora and the higher-ups at Papaya Toys, if you remove the battery chamber you can swirl this toy in boiling water or pop it into the dishwasher to sanitize. Which, so far as I can tell, is not really an option with many other vibrators.

I really love this toy. I was so excited when I won the contest and received it. I had it all of a week and got to use it three times before it fucking disappeared and the entire situation just has me completely deflated. I’m still holding out hope that it will reappear but it’s hard to stay optimistic. Just the idea that someone (especially family) could take something as private and intimate as a sex toy angers and upsets me a lot. So, it’s definitely time to fucking invest in a lockable toy box. I definitely recommend this toy to anyone who enjoys internal vibration or girthy toys. It’s not available online yet but hopefully will be soon! Eternal thanks to Epiphora and Papaya Toys.
