This review is WAY overdue. I’ve been so swamped with schoolwork that it just continually got put on the back burner. BUT the semester is finally over and I’ve been able to concentrate on it! Fascinations Fun sent me the Icicles No. 5, a beautifully crafted glass
dildo with dark blue, raised swirls. Glass is always really gorgeous; if you fuck up a glass dildo, you just fail as a sex toy manufacturer. But, as I’ve said many a time before, how a toy looks is really only secondary to how it feels.
The Icicles No. 5 is a fairly standard glass wand; it has a flared base so not only is it harness compatible and anal-safe it can also stand up on your desk like some gorgeous decorative art piece. According to this site, the toy is approximately 7.25 inches long with about 5ish of that insertable. I haven’t used really any textured toys in the past so I was excited to see how the Icicles No. 5 would feel.
For my body, the Icicles is a good length and girth; it’s a bit thicker than my go-to, the Bent Graduate, but doesn’t have the overwhelming fullness of the Candy Stick. It’s a great in-between for when I want something different but overall the sensations it creates aren’t all that exciting or different. It feels like a fairly standard dildo and with no intense curve, there’s no G-spot stimulation unless I push the toy purposefully against my G-spot; no easy continual thrusting with this if I want sustained G-spot stimulation.
There’s nothing wrong with a standard-feeling dildo but I do have one negative with this toy: those raised swirls. As I said before, I’ve never used really textured toys in the past and this toy makes me think that my vagina might not like texture. When I use the Icicles No. 5, especially after I’ve already warmed up with the Bent Graduate and am sensitive, the texture of the toy causes more irritation than pleasure. When it comes to insertable toys, I want hardcore G-spot stimulation and really nothing else. I don’t enjoy internal vibration and, if my experiences with this toy are an indicator, I’m not a huge fan of textured toys either. There’s a reason why my favorite toy is a smooth, featureless glass wand with an intense G-spot curve.
Overall, I like this toy: it’s pretty, it does feel good as long as I’m not too sensitive, and it’s made of glass so it’s super easy to clean and sanitize. Even though it’s not my favorite toy, I know that some people are in love with textured toys. If texture gets you off, then this and a lot of the Icicles line is a good (and affordable) option. Bottom line: it’s not exactly my cup of tea but I would recommend it to texture fans. If you’re looking for some good G-spot stimulation though, look elsewhere.
Thanks Fascinations!

Oooh! Pretty! Christi wants!
